Alumni Talk on Career Development – MME Department

The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering successfully organized an engaging alumni interaction session on 10th March 2026 at 2:30 PM in E-407 (II Semester MME Classroom).

The session featured two distinguished alumni from the 2005 batch, Dr. Santhosh and Dr. Ganesh, who delivered an insightful talk on *“Roadmap to Building a Strong and Successful Career.”* The speakers shared valuable perspectives on career planning, industry expectations, and the importance of continuous learning in the field of materials science and engineering.

Dr. Santhosh, currently associated with Coherent Metrology USA Inc., highlighted advancements and opportunities in materials characterization, offering students a practical understanding of industry trends. Dr. Ganesh, serving as a Senior Metallurgist at Jaguar Land Rover, UK, shared his professional journey and emphasized the skills and mindset required to succeed in the global automotive and materials engineering sectors.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and gaining clarity on career pathways, skill development, and industry readiness.
